An error message saying, “ Selected time slot is not available. Please select another slot from the previous screen.” appears when guardians are trying to book a session for which seats become unavailable during their booking journey.  

Following are the two cases how this can happen for guardians:  

  1. When only one seat is remaining in a time slot and a guardian selects that specific seat, adds it to their cart and comes back to book that same seat again either for a different student or the same student - the system displays the error message . 

    For example, If a guardian selects the only seat remaining on 08/30, 9 AM and while this booking is in the cart, they try to select the same time slot on the same day again. That 1 seat on 08/30, 9 AM will show up as available on the date and time selection screen because the previous booking isn’t confirmed yet, but it is no longer available for booking specifically for that guardian as it is already in their cart. That’s when the guardian will see an error message.

  2. If a guardian selects a seat in a time slot from the date and time selection screen and while their booking is in the cart, another guardian confirms the exact same booking and books that seat before the first guardian clicks on the ‘confirm’ button. If the first guardian now tries to confirm their selection then the system will display the same error message.
